A distinguished band of young Scandinavian and Polish talents pays homage to one of Poland’s greatest jazz legends, the late trumpeter Tomasz Stańko, who passed away in 2018. A decade ago, Stańko united these musicians for a one-time master workshop—an encounter that sparked the creation of the Tomasz Stańko Experience. Now, at Flagey, they will present their latest album.
The all-female quartet O.N.E. is known for its electrifying live sets where improvisation seamlessly weaves into lyrical and melodic passages. They were recently named ‘band of the year’ by Jazz Forum in the ‘Hope of Jazz’ category and in 2022 they were among the finalists of the B-Jazz International Contest.
